Last week, after posting a picture of a delicious steak on Instagram I suddenly had more than 1,000 new followers, 1600 comments, and I was unwittingly crowned the #steakking of #steaknation.
How the f*ck did this happen?
As it turns out my buddy, comedian Bert Kreischer, was behind the whole operation. Bert came across my steak picture during his Open Tabs podcast and rightly pointed out that I’m an Instagram failure who hasn’t posted in over 3 years. Between fits of giggles, Bert wondered, “How good do you think that steak was, that he decided to open up Instagram, remember his password, and post this f*ckin” steak?”
Bert’s next move was to direct his fans to troll my feed with over-the-top superlatives about my amazing steak. Obviously my wife and I had to respond, and this is what we did. UPDATE 10/31/18:
This #steakking thing has gotten a little out of control - in a good way. We’re going to keep doing this until you get bored, or we do - whichever comes first. Wecome to #steaknation!
